Content use
Articles are free to read and share with credit and a link back. Republishing full text, scraping at scale, or reselling our guides is prohibited. Quoting a few paragraphs for comment or teaching is fine and encouraged.
No professional advice
Guides are general information, not engineering, legal, or financial advice. Hire licensed pros for regulated work. Using gear or software is at your own risk, so follow the manufacturer’s manual and take sensible safety precautions with electrical, audio and studio equipment.
Accuracy
We work hard to measure honestly and recheck prices, but markets and products change. Murray Barczak is not liable for a purchase decision made from a guide, though we will always correct a plain error and explain how it happened.
Accounts and submissions
You do not need an account to read. If you send us a correction, pitch or photograph, you confirm it is yours to share and grant us permission to publish it with attribution. We never publish a reader’s details without consent.
Availability
We aim to keep the site up and fast, but we cannot promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, hosting failures or force majeure may take pages offline briefly. We restore service as quickly as we can.
Changes
Terms may update as the site grows. We post the date of each change on this page. Continued use after changes means acceptance. Questions go to [email protected].
Intellectual property
The Murray Barczak name, design and photography are ours. You may link to any page freely. Do not use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse your product, store or service without written agreement.
Third-party links
We link to official sites, manufacturer pages and encyclopaedias for background. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, prices or privacy practices. Check their terms before you rely on them.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Murray Barczak is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of this site. Nothing here limits rights you hold under mandatory consumer law in your own country.
Indemnity
If you misuse the site, breach these terms, or send content you do not own, you agree to cover any reasonable costs we face as a result. This keeps the site free for everyone who plays by the rules.
Governing terms
If one part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. We will replace any invalid clause with one that comes closest to its intent, so the agreement as a whole still stands.
User conduct
Do not attempt to break, overload or scrape the site, and do not upload malware or unlawful content through a form. We may block traffic that threatens the experience of other readers, and we log attempts to do so.
Updates to guides
We revise guides as prices and products change. A figure that was correct in May 2026 may be out of date by autumn, and we date each revision so you can judge how fresh it is. Always check the shop price before you buy.

Termination
We may remove access to any part of the site that is used abusively. You may stop using the site at any time. Sections on liability, indemnity and intellectual property survive if you leave, because they protect both sides after the relationship ends. Nothing here grants you rights to our brand or our photographs. If we remove access, we will explain the reason in writing and review any appeal within a week.
